Wild Primroses
The wild primroses are now beginning to bloom in the hedgerows and grassy banks. They are later this year possibly due to the prolonged cold winter spell. They suddenly seem to be sprouting everywhere and really cheer you up with their sunny bright yellow appearance.Glad you enjoyed the Applecross visit and thanks for your comment.
Going to Plodda Falls near Glen Affric soon so keep watching.

Hi Lynn
I Have booked Aspenwood for week in July.
Anyway, whilst me and my family were staying a week at Loch Carron we decided to take the drive up to Applecross. My son and his friend didnt want to go but we persuaded them by telling them there was a McDonalds at the top. (Being from Glasgow where there is a McD's at almost every corner they were having severe withdrawals from it). After parking in car park they asked for McDonalds, we told them it was other side of hill - so we went a walk, all the while they were chattering to each other about what they were getting at McD's. How gutted were they when they discovered the truth!
Aside from that the views were spectacular - the drive scary, but well worth it. We forgot to take camera with us when we went up.
